The California Wolf Center
is a 501(c)(3) non-profit education center committed to increasing
public awareness and understanding of the importance of all wildlife by
focusing on the history, biology, behavior, and ecology of the gray
wolf.
The CWC has an ambassador pack of Alaskan Gray Wolves and a pack of four sister Mexican Gray Wolves that are viewable to the public during wonderfully interesting educational tours.
The CWC participates in the Mexican Wolf Species Survival Program by hosting and breeding highly endangered Mexican Gray Wolves. It is estimated that there are only about 50 Mexican Gray Wolves in the wild on protected land that borders eastern Arizona and western New Mexico.
Founded in 1978, the CWC is located about 3 miles south east of Julian off Hwy 79.
I've taken photos for the CWC of their beloved beautiful wolves twice now, donating my time and, once I've edited the photos, burn them to CDs and donate all the photos to them as well.
Also, 50% of my profits from any sales I get from photos of their wolves is donated back to the CWC for their important work.
